Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Erick Viloria:
In 2018, Father Erick Viloria was placed on restricted ministry by the Diocese of Rochester after an internal investigation had concluded Viloria had "engaged in objectionable and inappropriate use of social media with an adult."
Earlier in the year, an individual reported being subjected to unwanted sexual contact by Viloria at a church-owned property in Brighton in 2013, while Viloria was a seminarian and the victim was 23 years old.
The victim told police that for a year after the alleged assault, Viloria frequently attempted to make contact through a social media messaging app.
Police determined that the conduct alleged did fit the definition of criminal conduct, however, it was reported to too late to the Brighton Police, and was outside of the statute of limitations.
Upon being removed from his position, Viloria moved out of the rectory and was believed to be staying with friends in the New York-New Jersey area. His current location is unknown.
