Summary of Abuse Allegations against Monsignor Sinon Falvey:

Monsignor Sinon Falvey was ordained a priest in 1945, who served in the Diocese of Orange. According to media reports, in June 2009, he was named in a  civil suit accusing him of sexually abusing an altar boy from 1990 to 1992 while retired, but still living at the St. Norbert Parish, in Orange. The accuser claimed the Diocese of Orange knew about the sexual abuse, but did nothing to stop it.

“Our client is very damaged and it took him some time to get the courage to come forward, but he’s found it,” the victim’s lawyer said.

The Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP) reported being contacted by other victims.

Monsignor Falvey was in charge of two pedophile priests during his tenure from 1969 to 1989: John Kenney and John Lenihan. His whereabouts, status as a priest, and whether he had access to children from 1990 until 2005 are unknown. He died in February 2005 at age 85.
