Father Augustus Scott was a priest of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual working in Camden, New Jersey. According to media reports, in April 2012, a civil lawsuit was settled involving an allegation of child sexual abuse of a 16-year-old boy by Scott. The alleged abuse occurred several times in his car between 1969 and 1970. He was working in the Diocese of Camden at the time.

As of 2012, the Diocese of Camden said he has reportedly been living in North Carolina.
