Summary of Abuse Allegations against Monsignor William Breslawski:

According to media reports, in 2002, the Diocese of Rockville Centre received a complaint alleging that Monsignor William Breslawski had sexually abused a child, the person’s friend in 7th or 8th grade, in 1980 when he worked at St. Catherine of Sienna in Franklin Square, New York. The complaint was found when the Diocese examined Monsignor Breslawski’s file in 2018, after receiving another letter referencing the same 1980 incident.

His files showed another complaint in 2002 by two people alleging that in 1984 Monsignor Breslawski was inappropriate with them, including unwanted physical contact with one of them. Both alleged victims were adults during the incident. The Diocese of Rockville Centre reported the information to the District Attorney and launched an internal investigation. Monsignor Breslawski was suspended in September 2018. His current whereabouts are unknown.
