Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Kenneth Parker:
Father Kenneth Parker was ordained a priest in 1965 and served in multiple parishes in the Diocese of Charlotte. He also served in several parishes in the 1960’s that are now part of the Diocese of Charlotte. According to media reports, in January 2010, he was permanently removed from ministry after receiving a credible allegation of child sexual abuse that allegedly occurred in 1981 or 1982 at a Newton Grove parish.
In 2018, Parker was named publicly on the Diocese of Raleigh’s list of clergy credibly accused of child sexual abuse. For a clergy member to be listed, the Review Board of the Diocese of Raleigh or another authority determined that the allegation made has a semblance of truth. This list covers the period from 1950 to 2018.
In December 2019, Father Parker’s name was also included on the Diocese of Charlotte’s list. His current whereabouts are unknown.
