Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Sung Lam:

In 2003, the Diocese of Phoenix released a list of more than a dozen priests who had been accused of sexual misconduct with minors.  For the first time, Father Sung Lam was publicly identified as a priest who was the subject of at least one credible allegation of abuse.

Originally a priest of Cambodia, Father Sung Lam was accused in 1993 of  “lewd and lascivious acts,” but was not prosecuted by law enforcement. According to the Diocese, Father Lam left Phoenix in 1994 after the allegations came out. No further information was released about the victim or where the incidents took place.

Lam’s current whereabouts are not known but he is presumed to be back in Cambodia.
