Summary of Abuse Allegations Against Father Thomas Saloy:
According to media reports, in November 2006, after a year-long investigation, Father Thomas Saloy was arrested for possessing over 600 images of child pornography on his rectory computer. The investigation began when the arrest of a porn dealer revealed that Father Saloy was a customer. Following his arrest, Father Saloy was placed on administrative leave by the Diocese of Rockville Centre.
In May 2008, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three and a half years in federal prison. Father Saloy is reported to be a registered Level 2 sex offender in New York. He is believed to be living in Bethpage, New York. He retired in 2014 and remains on administrative leave.
