Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Bennet Akuzie:

According to media reports, Fr. Bennet Akuzie, a Nigerian priest, was arrested in April 1996 on charges of sexual abuse of a 16-year-old girl and a 21-year-old woman. He allegedly groped the 16-year-old, as well as, exposed himself and requested sexual acts from both the minor and young woman at a motel in Ozone Park.

Then, the two girls left with his car when he was in the shower. Akuzie reported his car stolen, and they were picked up by police several miles away. At that time, they made allegations against the priest. Akuzie refused to press charges for theft and surrendered the next day.

As of 1996, he lived on Parsons Boulevard in Jamaica, Queens. No further information has been found. His current whereabouts and whether he has access to children are unknown.
