Summary of Abuse Allegations Against Father James J. Campbell:

Father James J. Campbell was ordained in 1942 by Paraclete Fathers in Washington, D.C. In July 1962, he arrived in the Diocese of Burlington in Vermont from St. Cloud, Minnesota. He was suspended in 1965 and ordered to return to the Paracletes in Minnesota. He left the priesthood that March and married in 1968. He is presumed dead. According to media reports, in August 2019, his name appeared publicly on the Diocese of Burlington’s list of clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse of minors.
