Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father John “Jack” Kenney:

Father John “Jack” Kenney served as a priest in Vermont for approximately 12 years in total, and spent most of his career as a military chaplain. According to media reports, in 2006, he was accused in a lawsuit of sexually abusing a teenage boy while assigned to St. Joseph’s Cathedral from 1962 to 1965. The case was settled, and he was removed from ministry. 

In August 2019, his name appeared publicly on the Diocese of Burlington’s list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. In August 2019, he was 91 years old and living in West Glover.
