Father Joseph Dussault served as a priest in the Diocese of Burlington in Vermont for approximately 44 years. He retired in June 1978 and died in December 1987. According to media reports, in January 2013, a civil suit was settled in which he was accused of misconduct with an altar boy from 1963 to 1967 while serving in Derby Line along the Canadian border. In August 2019, his name appeared publicly on the Diocese of Burlington’s list of clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse of minors.
