Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Robert A Ferro:

Fr. Robert A Ferro was responsible for St. Ephrem’s teen center and altar boys. According to media reports, in 2003, Ferro was one of 24 priests named in a huge lawsuit brought by 27 victims alleging child sexual abuse. The lawsuit accused him of sexually abusing a minor boy several times in the priests’ residence at St. Ephrem’s in Brooklyn, New York from 1977 through 1978.

According to the Catholic Directory, in 2002 he was absent on leave. In September 2003, he was removed from ministry and died in May 2004. In February 2019, Ferro’s name appeared publicly on the Diocese of Brooklyn’s list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors.
