Fr. William McGlynn was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Brooklyn. It is believed he worked in the Diocese of Rockville Centre from its establishment in 1957 until his death.

According to media reports, in February 2019, McGlynn’s name appeared publicly on the Diocese of Brooklyn’s list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. The details of the allegations, including when and where the abuse occurred, are unknown. 

McGlynn died in June 1972.
