Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Elmo Rogero:

Father Elmo Rogero was a Jesuit priest who served in parishes in New Orleans and Georgia before he became a student counselor at Jesuit High School in New Orleans. According to media reports, in December 2018, his name appeared publicly on the Jesuits’ Central and Southern updated list of Jesuits credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. It noted one allegation of abuse that occurred in the 1950s, received after his death in 1959. No further information regarding the allegation including age/gender of the victim, or the priest’s assignment at the time of the alleged abuse was disclosed.
