Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Ralph Lawrence:

According to media reports, in November 2018, Father Ralph Lawrence’s name appeared publicly on the Archdiocese of New Orleans’ list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. It noted an allegation of abuse in the early 1930s, was received in 1935. Further details about the allegation are unknown. He was removed from ministry and took a “leave of absence” that year. He died in 1992 at 102 years old. 

In early 2019, his name appeared publicly on the Diocese of Baton Rouge’s list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors.
