Msgr. John V Wilkinson was ordained a priest in the Archdiocese of New York in 1948. He served as an educator in multiple colleges. According to media reports, in April 2019, he was named on the Archdiocese of New York’s list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. The details of the allegations, including when and where the abuse occurred, are unknown. Claims against him are eligible to be settled through the Diocese’s Independent Reconciliation and Compensation Program.
Wilkinson retired in 1998 and died in 2005.
