Summary of Abuse Allegations against Brother Thomas P McSherry:

Br. Thomas P McSherry professed his vows in 1957. He received a dispensation from his vows in 1979. In 2018, McSherry’s name appeared on the Dominican Province of St. Joseph’s list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. The allegation was established in 2017, but no information as to when or where the alleged abuse occurred was released.

Very little is known of McSherry’s activities within the church as the Archdiocese of New York has not released any information about McSherry’s assignment history. In addition, information about the age/gender of his alleged victim/victims, the nature of the alleged sexual abuse, or McSherry’s assignments at the time of the alleged abuse is unknown.

McSherry died in 2009.
