Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Benjamin Gabriel: 

Father Benjamin Gabriel was an extern priest from the Philippines. He transferred over to the the Diocese of Fresno sometime in the early 1970’s. According to media reports, in 2003, he was named in a lawsuit alleging that he sexually abused a boy for two years at St. Jude’s in Earlimart. No further information has been released,

Father Gabriel was never criminally charged. According to church records, after serving in the Diocese of Fresno for approximately 15 years, he retired in 1986. He was also not listed as apart of any parish assignment after 1980 in the official Catholic Directory.

In May 2019, his name was included on an advocacy group, Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests (SNAP) list of 23 clergy of the Diocese of Fresno accused of child sexual abuse. His current whereabouts are unknown.
