Ordained in 1984, Fr. David Carson was assigned to parishes in Conger and Staten Island, New York. Carson was accused of child sexual abuse in the Archdiocese of New York and laicized by the Vatican in July 2005. The details of the sexual abuse allegations, including when and where the alleged abuse occurred, or the victim’s age/gender, are unknown.

Carson served at Holy Child Church in Staten Island from 1988 to 1993 before being transferred to Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Huguenot. His final assignment came as a chaplain with the US Department of Veteran Affairs in Bath, NY, where he remained until he was defrocked. Carson was named publicly as credibly accused on the Archdiocese of New York list in 2019.
