Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Fay Ager:
Father Fay Ager was ordained to the priesthood in the Diocese of Ogdensburg in 1979. According to media reports, in November 2018, the Diocese released a list of 28 priests who were credibly accused of sexual misconduct with a minor or a vulnerable adult. One priest that was first named publicly for sexual abuse by the list was Father Fay Ager.
The list did not include the number of alleged victims or the time frame that the alleged abuse occurred. Diocesan officials had previously said they would not release the names, largely to protect the privacy of victims. Each name on the list has been internally investigated and the Diocesan Review Board found that the allegations were credible.
The only information the Diocese of Ogdensburg released about Father Ager on its list was that was removed from ministry, but is still living. His current whereabouts and whether or not he has access to minors is unknown.
