Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father John Joseph McCarthy:

Fr. John Joseph McCarthy was ordained a Jesuit priest in 1952. According to media reports, in March 2019, his name appeared on the Jesuits’ Northeast Province list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. It noted multiple allegations of abuse in the 1970s were reported in 2005 and 2018. In April 2019, McCarthy’s name appeared on the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s list

McCarthy died in 1997.
