Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father John T Ryan:

According to media reports, Fr. John T Ryan, a Jesuit priest, was accused of child sexual abuse in 2003 and 2014. He reportedly sexually abused children in the 1980s and 1990s while assigned to the Jesuit Seminary & Mission Bureau in New York where he worked as an Associate Editor for Development for the Jesuits’ weekly print publication, America Media Magazine.

After an investigation, the Jesuits’ USA Northeast Province deemed the allegations against Ryan as credible. He has been named on the Jesuits’ 2019 list of “Jesuits with Credible Allegations of Sexual Abuse of a Minor.” Ryan left the Jesuits in 2002 and is believed to be living in Florida.
