Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Jorge Patricio Pintado Herrera:

Fr. Jorge Patricio Pintado Herrera was a visiting priest from Ecuador. According to media reports, in September 2002, he was criminally charged after sexually abusing a 16-year-old altar boy at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Inwood, New York. In June 2003, he pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child and was sentenced to five days of community service. 

The Archdiocese of New York claimed Herrera was not authorized to work in the Archdiocese at the time, clarifying that his last formal tie to the Archdiocese of New York ended in October 2000. His current whereabouts and whether he has access to children are unknown.
