Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Paul Oehler:

Father Paul Oehler was ordained to the priesthood in 1964, and served in the Diocese of Ogdensburg. He was the pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in Brownville, NY from 1980 until 1982. According to media reports, in November 2018, the Diocese of Ogdensburg released a list of 28 priests who were credibly accused of sexual misconduct with a minor or a vulnerable adult. The number of alleged victims or the time frame that the alleged abuse occurred was not disclosed. The list noted that Father Menard had died.

Diocesan officials had previously said they would not release the names, largely to protect the privacy of victims. Each name on the list has been internally investigated and the Diocesan Review Board found that the allegations were credible.
