Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Brother Kevin Dunne:

Br. Kevin Dunne, a member of the Franciscan religious order, was accused in a 2004 civil lawsuit alleging he sexually abused the victim at St. Anthony Seminary in Santa Barbara, California from 1970 to 1971. According to another civil lawsuit filed in 2009, Dunne was moved to St. Mary’s Basilica in Phoenix, Arizona after the Franciscan order knew of his rape of a St. Anthony’s student which was reported initially in 1993. In 2007, Dunne was moved to a retreat house near Monterey, CA.

Dunne is listed on the Diocese of Santa Rosa list and on the Diocese of Las Cruces’ list in 2019 for clergy credibly accused of sexual abuse of a minor. In addition, Dunne was also included on the Santa Barbara Province Franciscans list.

Dunne died in 2010.
