Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father John J Sheehan:

Fr. John J Sheehan professed religious vows as a Marianist in 1950. He was ordained a priest in 1961. He worked in multiple parishes in Maryland, New York, and Pennsylvania. In 1997, he was laicized.

In June 2020, his name appeared on the Marianists' list of clergy "found to have sexually abused a minor". In 2020, Sheehan's name also appeared on the Archdiocese of Baltimore list of priests and brothers accused of child sexual abuse.

In 2021, a lawsuit was filed which alleges abuse by Sheehan and Br. Al Koch. According to media reports, the victim was a 14-year-old girl and the abuse is said to have taken place summer of 1974. The girl was a volunteer camp counselor at the Marianist Family Retreat Center in Cape May Point.

His current whereabouts and whether he has access to children are unknown.
