Father Dominic Gaioni was a member of the Society of the Divine Word religious order ordained in 1967, who served in multiple parishes in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and the Archdiocese of San Bernardino. According to media reports, at least two people have accused him of child sexual abuse that occurred in 1977 and 1993. He was removed from ministry in 1993 when the allegations were made, but the Diocese did not report it to police until 2002.
Fr. Gaioni was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors. He was also included in the Diocese of San Bernardino’s 2018 list. As of 2016, Fr. Gaioni was reportedly living in Pasadena, California. His current whereabouts are unknown.
