Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Edward Dober:
Fr. Edward Dober was ordained a priest in 1976, and served in multiple parishes in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. According to media reports, in 2002, he was accused of sexually abusing a boy from 1990 to 1991 while he was working at Queen of Angels Junior Seminary in Los Angeles, CA. Fr. Dober denied the charge and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles' review board deemed the accusation unfounded. In 2007, the Archdiocese settled a lawsuit accusing Fr. Dober of child sexual abuse.
Fr. Dober was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles' list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors. As of 2017, he was an active priest working in Norwalk, CA, at St. John of God until his retirement in 2018. His status as a priest, whereabouts, and whether he has access to children from 2018 to the present is unknown.
