Father Emmanuel Jimenez-Pelayo was ordained a Salesians of St. John Bosco priest who served in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. According to a 2004 archdiocesan report, he has been accused of sexually abusing at least one child in 1975. His name has also appeared on the Archdiocese of Los Angeles' list of clergy credibly accused of sex abuse of minors. Fr. Jimenez-Pelayo's status as a priest, current whereabouts, and whether he has access to children are unknown.
According to their website, "the Salesian of Don Bosco are committed to creating and maintaining a safe environment for all children who interact with our members and are involved in our ministries. We have put in place clear standards of conduct for all members as well as procedures for investigating and reporting any allegations of abuse or misconduct to the appropriate civil authorities. The policies and procedures implemented by the Salesians are accredited by Praesidium, Inc., a national organization that works with religious and other institutions to establish and maintain rigorous standards for protecting children and vulnerable adults."
