Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Patrick Conway:

Fr. Patrick Conway was a priest of the Jesuits’ Oregon Province ordained in 1934, and served in multiple parishes in the Diocese of Los Angeles. He was assigned to parishes in Missoula MT and Lewiston ID, high schools in Tacoma and Spokane WA, and to a mission on the Crow Indian reservation in MT.  According to media reports, in and was assigned to parishes in the San Francisco, Helena, Boise City, Seattle, Spokane, and Great Falls Dioceses.

According to media reports, Fr. Conway’s name was included on the Jesuits’ Oregon Province’s 2011 list of “perpetrators of sexual abuse.” The Jesuits agreed to post the list on its website as part of its bankruptcy reorganization plan. Fr. Conway is also listed on the Great Falls-Billings Diocese’s list in 2018 and the Jesuits West list in 2018, which noted reports of sex abuse of a minor from 1945-1949 that was reported in 2009. The details of the sexual abuse allegations, including where the alleged abuse occurred, or the victim’s age/gender, are unknown. His status as a priest, whereabouts, and whether he had access to children from 1950 and on, is unknown.
