Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Thomas Reon Paul Marshall:
According to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, at least three survivors have come forward alleging child sexual abuse by Fr. Thomas Reon PaulMarshall, a member of the Paulist Fathers Order, between 1960 and 1963, at St. Paul the Apostle in Los Angeles.
According to media reports, in 2003, child sexual abuse charges were filed against Fr. Marshall, and an arrest warrant was issued. He was charged with 20 counts of lewd acts upon a child under 14. The district attorney attempted to extradite Fr. Marshall, who was retired and living in Toronto.
Per the 2009 Paulist website, Fr. Marshall was in residence at the Paulist Centre for Catholic Evangelization in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Fr. Marshall was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of sexual misconduct involving minors. He was also listed on the Buffalo Diocese’s list in 2018. Fr. Marshall died in 2012.
