Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Donald Roemer:

Father Donald Roemer, (aka Father Pat) was ordained a priest in 1970 who served in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. He oversaw a parish of several thousand families during his career. According to media reports, at least 16 people have made child sexual abuse allegations against him between 1962 and 1981. Ranked #8 on the Archdiocese’s list of top 10 abusers, he was arrested in 1981 on child sexual abuse charges.

Court documents show that he confessed to sexually abusing 30 children over an 11 year period. He was sentenced to two years in a state run mental hospital, ten years’ probation, and had to register as a sex offender. Father Roemer has been named in at least three child sexual abuse lawsuits. He was laicized in 2006. His name was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of child sexual abuse. In 2010, it is believed he had been living in Anaheim, CA.
