Summary of Abuse Allegations against Father Jose Sanchez:
Father Jose G. Sanchez was ordained a priest in 1983 who served in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. He left the Archdiocese in 2009. According to media reports, in January 2013, his name was added, along with 23 others, to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ Final Addendum posted on its website. It lists 49 “names of clergy from a follow up review of Archdiocesan files, and names of clergy involved in Clergy I litigation which were not previously posted.” The list includes 24 names of accused priests not previously known. The Los Angeles Times reports that the 24 names were disclosed in a report posted on the archdiocese’s website in January 2013 along with 12,000 pages of internal records detailing how the church dealt with abuse claims.
In 2014, Father Jose G. Sanchez was named as accused of sexual abuse in the 1990s. His current whereabouts are unknown.
