According to media reports, in 2002, he was accused in a civil suit of sexually abusing a brother and sister at St. Anthony Catholic Church in El Segundo from 1945 to 1946. His personnel file was released in January 2013. He was included in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ list of priests accused of child sexual abuse.
