Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Mr. Manuel Jimenez:

Mr. Manuel Jimenez was a former seminarian in the Diocese of Monterey. In 2019, Mr. Manuel Jimenez was included on the Diocese of Monterey's list as being "credibly accused" of child sex abuse. Very little is known of Jimenez's activities within the church as the Diocese of Monterey has not released any information about the year Jimenez was ordained nor his assignment history. The list does note that there was a report received in 1999 about an incident that took place in 1994. No other information about the age/gender of his alleged victims, the nature of the alleged sexual abuse, or Jimenez's assignments at the time of the alleged abuse is known.

According to media reports, in 2016, Manuel Jimenez was found guilty of molesting three young cousins under the age of 15. The Monterey County District Attorney's Office released reports stating Jimenez was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual penetration on a child 10 years of age or younger, two counts of forcible lewd acts on a child under 14, seven counts of lewd acts on a child under 14, and three counts of lewd acts on a child 14 or 15. He was sentenced to life in prison.
