Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Alexander Larkin:

Fr. Alexander Larkin worked in the Diocese of San Jose. In 2018, Larkin was included on a list of priests in the Diocese of San Jose who was named as being “credibly accused” of child sex abuse. Information about the age of his alleged victims or the nature of the alleged sexual abuse is unknown.

It is noted that there was a report received in 2003 against Larkin in reference to abuse that took place while Larkin was assigned to Our Lady of the Rosary Parish in Palo Alto, California in the 1970s. The two victims were former altar boys at Our Lady of the Rosary. In 2003, there was at least one civil suit filed that was settled by 2006. Larkin was placed on leave in 2004 after allegations were made that he had abused two youths between 1975 and 1980. Larkin was restricted from ministry in 2005 and was later banned from ministry in 2009.

According to media reports, there was another victim who said he was abused as a teen by Larkin. He wrote this in an anonymous letter and mentioned that the abuse took place at St. William’s Parish in Los Altos, California, back in 1981.

According to media reports, Larkin denied any wrongdoing.

Based on the Diocese of San Jose, Larkin’s current whereabouts are last known to be in San Jose, California.
