Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father George Moss:

Fr. George Moss was ordained a priest in 1943 who served in the Diocese of San Jose.  He was incardinated in the Archdiocese of San Francisco. According to media reports, he was accused of sexual misconduct while assigned to St. Joseph Parish in Mountain View, California from 1963-1976. The parish was part of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, prior to the establishment in 1981 of the Diocese of San Jose.

In 2018, Moss’ was included name on the Diocese of San Jose list of clergy credibly accused of child sexual abuse. It noted allegations of abuse occurring between 1963-1976 at St. Joseph, were received in 2002, 2004, and 2012. Information about the age/gender of his alleged victims or the nature of the alleged sexual abuse is unknown.

His whereabouts and access to children from his retirement in 1976 to his death in 1986 are unknown.
