A native from Spain, Fr. Emilio Garcia, was accused of molesting a girl at age 14 and raping her when she was 16 at St. Patrick’s in Largo in the 1960s. The victim began having flashbacks in 2000, and when she confronted Fr. Garcia, he admitted the abuse. He was removed from his post and returned to Spain. Fr. Garcia is deceased.
