Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Father Rolando Castillo:

Fr. Rolando Castillo was accused in a 2007 civil suit alleged of sexually abusing a former altar boy who was 17-years-old in 2001. Castillo decided to take a leave of absence and was placed on leave after the allegation.

Castillo denied all allegations and was later cleared by the Archdiocese in 2009 and was to be returned to active status and reassigned to a different parish. The civil suit was unclear as to whether the plaintiff was actually a minor at the time of the alleged abuse in 2001.

According to media reports, the lawsuit was “mutually resolved”, however it is unknown if any payment was made.

Castillo’s current whereabouts are unknown.
