In 2011, Sister Joan Marie was accused in a lawsuit filed of groping and fondling a first-grade boy in 1978-1979 at St. James Catholic School in North Miami, Florida. The abuse allegedly occurred under the guise of tucking in the boy's shirt.
The accuser claims in a lawsuit that a Dominican nun repeatedly groped and fondled him several decades ago.
