Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father John McDaniel:

Fr. John McDaniel became an ordained priest in 1955 and worked at various parishes in the Diocese of Little Rock in Arkansas. In 2018, McDaniel was publicly named and included on the Diocese of Little Rock list of accused clergy for whom unsubstantiated though credible allegations of sexual abuse of a minor have been received. It notes three known victims.

According to media reports, in 2019, there was a settlement of $790K to five men who claimed sexual abuse as boys in the early 1970s by McDaniel. The five were students, ages 12-15, and the alleged abuse took place at Our Lady of the Holy Souls in Little Rock, Arkansas. Fr. McDaniel died in 1974.
