Summary of Abuse Allegations Against Fr. (Felix) David Broussard:

Fr. (Felix) David Broussard was ordained a priest in 1993, and served in multiple parishes in the Diocese of Lafayette. According to media reports, in October 2018, Fr. Broussard was sentenced to five years of hard labor after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography. In 2016, a computer technician who was working on Broussard's computer found the pornographic images and alerted the police. Authorities found over 500 images of child pornography on Broussard's personal computer at his residence at St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge. The pornographic images involved children ranging from infants to 12 years old. Following his arrest, Fr. Broussard was placed on administrative leave and removed from all priestly duties.

Fr. Broussard was publicly named in April 2019 on the Diocese of Lafayette's disclosure list of "diocesan clergy against whom credible allegations have been made regarding sexual abuse of a minor or vulnerable adult."

Fr. Broussard is currently in Acadia Parish Jail where he is expected to remain until his release in 2023.
