Broward County Massage Therapist Jesse Crocker Sanctioned by Health Department

On August, 2, 2021, the Florida Department of Health issued an Order of Emergency Restriction of Jesse Crocker’s license to work as a massage therapist following disturbing allegations that he sexually assaulted a female client.  Jesse Crocker has been a massage therapist in Florida since 2016. Jesse Crocker is prohibited from massaging female clients as a result of this Order.

The alleged sexual misconduct is reported to have occurred while Jesse Crocker was working as a massage therapist at Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa at 1829 S. University Drive, Davie, FL 33324.  Crocker was previously employed at Massage Envy in Pompano Beach, FL.

According to the Florida Department of Health, on June 5, 2021, Jesse Crocker was assigned to massage a 25-year old woman.  During the massage, Mr. Crocker reportedly exposed the client’s breasts, removed her facial mask to kiss her, and placed the client’s hand on his exposed erect penis.  Mr. Crocker then allegedly reached under the sheet and placed his hand onto and massaged the client’s vaginal area.  Afterwards, Mr. Crocker allegedly stated, “I’m so sorry, I couldn’t control myself” and attributed his misconduct to “another form of stress relief.”  The client reported the incident to Hand & Stone that same day and canceled her membership.  Hand & Stone conducted an internal investigation and terminated Jesse Crocker’s employment.

The stresses of life can easily overwhelm us. When patients book a massage, it is to decompress and relax. The massage therapist-patient relationship is founded on mutual trust.  Clients trust that the massage therapists employed at a spa are carefully vetted and safe.   Any violation of that trust requires swift action, as it is both unacceptable and unlawful for a massage therapist to touch a patient in a sexual manner.
