Summary of Abuse Allegations Against Brother Robert Flaherty

Brother Robert Flaherty was ordained an Xaverian priest and worked in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. According to the archdiocese, Flaherty was a  longtime teacher at Mount St. Joseph High School and was under investigation for the alleged sexual abuse of a minor in the mid-1980s. The Xaverian Brothers removed Brother Robert Flaherty from ministry while the investigation by the state’s attorney’s office was underway. In 2018, Flaherty was suspended from his teaching job at St. John’s Preparatory School in Danvers, MA, after allegations surfaced. He is not yet listed on any credibly accused lists.
