Fr. Arthur Maurer was one of the priests identified by the Maryland Attorney General as having been accused of sexually abusing minors and having resided in or been assigned in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
According to media reports, Fr. Mauer pled guilty on charges of sexually abusing a 12-year-old boy in 1992, on a cruise ship based in Port Canaveral, FL.
Fr. Maurer’s name does not appear on the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s list of priests credibly accused of sexual misconduct with a minor.
