Fr. Joseph O’Meara is one of the 156 priests identified by the Maryland Attorney General as having been accused of sexually abusing minors during their tenure with the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

According to the Attorney General’s report, a woman reported that Fr. O’Meara repeatedly kissed her and other children on the mouth.
According to the AG’s report, a woman reported having been sexually abused by Fr. O’Meara beginning when she was 7 years old in the early 1980s. Fr. O’Meara would go to the victim’s house for dinner and would sexually assault the victim under the table.
According to the AG’s report, at least three other women have reported having been sexually abused by Fr. O’Meara.
Fr. O’Meara retired in 2009.
