Summary of Abuse Against Fr. Michael Miller:

Fr. Michael Miller was removed from ministry after he was charged with 8 different felony counts, including risk of harm to a minor, possession of child pornography, and obscenity.

According to media reports, authorities were initially contacted by a mother who found sexual correspondence between Fr. Miller and her 13-year-old son on Facebook. Fr. Miller questioned the victim about his sexual preferences and requested to meet the victim. 

According to media reports, authorities confiscated Fr. Miller's computer, where they found explicit and sexual photos of minors.

According to media reports, Fr. Miller pleaded guilty in 2013 to 8 charges, including possession of child pornography. Fr. Miller was sentenced to 20 years in prison, with all but 5 years suspended, followed by 20 years of probation.

Fr. Miller's name appears on the Archdiocese of Baltimore's list of priests accused of sexually abusing minors. Fr. Miller's name does not appear on the Conventual Franciscan's list of priests credibly accused of sexually abusing minors.
