Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Father Paul Conn

Father Paul Conn was a pre-novitiate candidate of the Franciscan Friars of the Province of Saint Barbara at St. Anthony Seminary but left in 1980 to become a diocesan priest with the Archdiocese of Seattle.

Fr. Conn was included on the Franciscan Friars Province of Saint Barbara’s List of Non-Friars Linked to Santa Barbara Province. According to this list, Fr. Conn was charged with five felony counts of indecent liberties with minors in May of 1988. Two months later, Conn pleaded guilty to molesting six boys between the ages of 11-13. Fr. Conn also admitted to abuse of victims that the police did not know about. Conn was sentenced to four years in prison. A civil suit was settled with the Archdiocese of Seattle in 1996. Conn was laicized in 2002. Conn was also listed on the Archdiocese of Seattle List of Credible Accused in 2016.
