On July 30, 2025, hair stylist Ryan Pearl was arrested in Miami after reports were made that he sexually preyed on a 15-year-old girl that he met two years prior at a luxury hair salon. During his arrest, Miami-Dade police found pink cocaine, condoms, and vaping devices in Pearl's possession. Pearl, 37, faces charges of cocaine possession, contributing to the delinquency of a child, using a computer to seduce a child into engaging in sexual conduct, traveling to meet a child after using a computer to lure them, and two counts of transmitting harmful content to a minor electronically. His bond is $26,000.
According to media reports, Pearl was busted by undercover cops in Coconut Grove following an investigation that began after the victim's mother found money deposits in her 15-year-old daughter's Apple Wallet account. The mother then discovered “alarming” texts between Pearl and her teen daughter and reported it to the police. The arrest report states that Pearl "made sexual remarks and sent explicit photographs, fully aware he was communicating with a minor.” Texts said things like, "What size of shoe are you? I want to make you happy, you’re pretty, let’s keep this between you and me."
Miami Police set up an undercover operation, and detectives began exchanging messages with Pearl. Pearl sent messages that stated, "Maybe U will send me more selfies now, U deleted?" he wrote in one Snapchat message, according to the report. "Well, U can sit on top of me while I kiss you."
The police investigators claimed that Pearl sent the teen a nude photo from his couch. The investigators replied to Pearl, acting as the teen, stating, "I am very shy please don't, do U care that I am 15? I don't know how to do that, never seen one, you know I am a virgin, I've never had sex, and I don't know much of it, what if I get pregnant?" They also discussed plans to meet and engage in sex acts with the use of condoms, the report said.
On July 30, Pearl showed up at a location to pick up the teen and was met by police officers who took him into custody. In the car, police found a baggie with suspected pink cocaine, another bag containing condoms, and vapes. Pearl admitted to buying a vape for the girl and asking her to be his girlfriend, the report said. He also admitted to sending her nude photos of himself and admitted to traveling to meet her, according to the report.
Pearl's bond was set at $26,000 after the initial $500,000 request by the defense attorney was denied. Judge Glazer ordered Pearl to stay away from the teen and not have unsupervised contact with any minors.
“I was furious, I was very upset. I couldn’t believe someone that has a reputation, and works in a very luxury hair salon was capable of doing this,” the victim’s mother claimed.
As a celebrity hair stylist, Pearl is well-known and sought after. Pearl has over 117,000 followers on his Instagram, where he flaunts his celebrity clients and styles. According to his website, he works at Miami’s Ollin Salon, located at 7207 SW 42nd St, Miami, FL 3315, where he charges between $200 and $650 for his hair coloring services.
When clients book salon services, the relationship is founded on mutual trust. Clients trust that the stylists employed at salons are carefully vetted and safe. Any violation of that trust requires swift action, as it is both unacceptable and unlawful for anyone to engage in sexual activities with a minor.
