Summary of Sexual Abuse Allegations against Br. Edmund Normantowic:

Br. Edmund Normantowicz is a brother with the La Salette Missionaries who served in multiple parishes in the Diocese of Lake Charles. He was a permanent deacon in St. Louis before becoming a permanent deacon for the Diocese of Lake Charles.

According to media reports, Br. Normantowicz was publicly named on the Diocese of Lake Charles 2019 list of clergy credibly accused of child sexual abuse. It notes allegations of child sexual abuse in 1976-1978 and 1980 against Br. Normantowicz were received in 2003 and 2019. Information about the age/gender of his alleged victim/victims and the nature of the alleged sexual abuse was not provided. Law enforcement was notified about the allegations. Br. Edmund Normantowicz is prohibited from ministry.

The Diocese of Lake Charles misspelled Br. Normantowicz's last name as "Normanmtowicz" and has his first name listed as Edward; however, according to the Catholic Directory and his father's 2014 obituary, his first name is Edmund.

Br. Edmund Normantowicz is believed to be living with the La Salette Missionaries in Hartford, CT.
